Dr. Adesuyi Hezekiah
President, FCE(T) Akoka Alumni Association
2021 - 2025Message from the President
Dear Esteemed Alumni,
It is with immense pride and profound gratitude that I address you as we embark on another transformative year for our beloved Alumni Association. As I reflect on the remarkable journey of Federal College of Education (Technical) Akoka, I am continually inspired by the dedication, excellence, and impact that each of you has demonstrated in your respective fields.
Our association has grown from humble beginnings in 1967 to become one of Nigeria's most vibrant and impactful alumni networks, with over 20,500 graduates spread across the globe. This growth is not merely in numbers, but in the quality of relationships we've fostered, the lives we've touched, and the communities we've transformed.
This year, we have set ambitious goals that will further strengthen our bonds and expand our influence. Our flagship Digital Library Upgrade project, currently 75% complete, will provide state-of-the-art learning resources to current students. The Student Mentorship Program continues to pair our experienced alumni with young scholars, creating pathways for success that extend far beyond graduation.
I am particularly excited about our upcoming Annual Alumni Conference 2025, scheduled for March 15th. This gathering will bring together minds from different generations, industries, and continents to share experiences, forge new partnerships, and chart the course for our collective future. I encourage every alumnus to mark this date and join us for what promises to be our most impactful conference yet.
Our Vision Moving Forward
- Expand our scholarship program to support 200+ students annually
- Launch international chapters in the UK, USA, and Canada
- Establish a ₦1 billion endowment fund for infrastructure development
- Create a digital museum celebrating our 45+ years of educational excellence
To our recent graduates, I want you to know that your journey with FCE(T) Akoka does not end at convocation—it evolves. You are now part of a legacy that spans decades, and we are here to support your growth, celebrate your achievements, and provide opportunities for you to give back to the institution that shaped your career.
To our seasoned alumni who have blazed trails in education, business, technology, and public service, your experience and wisdom are invaluable assets to our community. I urge you to continue mentoring the next generation and sharing your success stories that inspire and guide others.
As we navigate the challenges and opportunities of our rapidly changing world, let us remember that our strength lies in unity, our power in collaboration, and our success in lifting each other up. The Federal College of Education (Technical) Akoka Alumni Association is more than an organization—it is a family bound by shared values, common goals, and an unwavering commitment to educational excellence.
Together, let us continue to write new chapters in our remarkable story, ensuring that the legacy we leave behind is one of impact, integrity, and inspiration for generations to come.
With warm regards and best wishes,
